Poetry & Praise: glorious

RISING

This day is an empty cupboard. I climb inside, knees to chin, and shut the door. The air smells like the dust at the bottom of a cereal box. Maybe, if I'm lucky, and I hold really still, I might blossom into a field of tiny white moth wings, rising up and away.
