SLOW AND STEADY STREAM

 

When the children were young I discovered that salvation lay in spinning moments into language. Like the fairy-tale sisters bless/cursed by the translation of their words into jewel/toads as they spoke, I've found it's better not to hold them in my mouth too long. Sometimes they get whispered into sleeping ears. Sometimes scribbled onto junkmail envelopes.

This year I thought I would begin again to whisper/chant in public.
